The leader of Civic Platform – Donald Tusk unoffically announced via weekly paper that Andrzej Jakubiak shall take the position as the head of the Financial Supervision Commission.

  • Mr Jakubiak from  18 th December, 2006 serves as deputy mayor of Warsaw.
  • Born on 25 September 1959 in Warsaw. In 1982 he graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Warsaw University.
  • From October 1982 to January 1991 he worked in the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.
  • From February 1991 to 17 December 2006 he worked at the Headquarters of the Polish National Bank. Since August 1992, advisor to the President of the General Inspectorate of Banking Supervision. In December 1993 he was appointed deputy director of GIBS. He was responsible for resolving the situation of banks in the most difficult situation.
  • On 6 February 1998 was appointed by the President of the Polish National Bank as Director of Legal Department of the NBP. From February 1998 to December 2006 he was a board member of the Polish National Bank.
  •   He is a legal advisor. He is married and has two daughters.
